The Radio Jove project is also a good way to view solar storms live, =
besides
storms on Jupiter the solar ones are easily received with a simple radio
setup, see

I know this is not your typical earthquake subject. But I wanted to
point out this article about solar storms and the damage the create.
This is important because a solar storm is going to knock out, or kill
the GPS system. It is also going to create a lot of other damage.
