Hi all, It had to happen....earthquake country fault zone tours. It seems 3 companys have sprung up around Palm Springs California. According to the (older) Denver Post article of November 14th, they must be initially highly popular, for suddenly having 3 different companys doing such. The reason seems to be presented as "the most misunderstood natural wonder in the world". Palm Springs is west of Los Angeles. The 3 companys are: Jurassic Expeditions: offering daily morning tours; $62.50 per person, group discounts; 780-862-5540. Charles Watson, the tours producer and director. The San Andreas Fault Tour: Saturdays and Sundays, 9a.m. and 1 p.m., includes brunch buffet; $49.00 per person: 760-322-6029. Douglas "Dr. Doug" Tomson, owner and operator. Desert Adventures Jeep Eco-Tours: Prices range from $79 to $118 per person; 1-888-440-5337. Spokeswoman Carolyn Patten Somehow, I think a tour there would be pretty interesting. The terrain varys, and the presentations are geared toward understanding. There are no dramatic views like often portrayed from aerial photographs in the past.
