Larry and all,
I would like to see the "pause" or "don't record data" feature implemented.
There are times when I would like to do testing on the system and be able to
view what is happening on the WinSDR display, but would prefer not to have
the test data displayed in the uploaded gif files both locally or on
http://www.seismicnet.com/. In my situation the WinSDR display is publicly
viewable in a museum setting and the gif files are uploaded to the museum
website http://www.omniplex.org/OCOdata/. Testing the system seems to
generate more inquiries and excitement than most real earthquakes. Is there
possibly a way to have the test data only viewable on the screen and then
cleared with the refresh screen command? As far as the problem of
accidentally leaving the pause mode on, maybe an audio alarm could be played
every 1-5 minutes while in pause mode as a reminder to turn it off.
Thanks,
Greg Christenson

Gary and others,
I'm not sure I like the "don't record data" feature. This could be
accidentally left on. I think just stopping WinSDR or unplugging the analog
signal would do the same thing.....
I'll look into why WinSDR is crashing do to a corrupted record file. It
would help if I had one to test with. If the system is causing the problem
do to not enough CPU power or memory there is little I can do within the
program to correct the problem. Either the user needs to turn off some
features or get a fast system.
I like the idea of a last one used option for the Open File directory. I can
add a check box in the Directory dialog box labeled "Use Last as Default"
that could be used to enable this feature.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

Larry
