Larry,
What will be the effect on WinSDR or the PSN ADC Serial board if the
following lines are not connected?
Pin 1 - CD (Carrier Detect) Output - CPU P2-PC0 Line
Pin 4 - DTR (Data Terminal Ready) Input - CPU Reset Line
Pin 6 - DSR (Data Set Ready) Output - CPU STAT Line
I ran a test with a three wire RS-232 connection. RTS and CTS looped
back at the PC.
Everything seems to work ok. So I figure pins 1, 4, & 6 are not used at
this time or are used infrequently.
The reason I ask, I have a pair of two channel RS-232 fiber optic
transceivers I want to use in the final installation and they do not
support the status lines.
